We are seeking a motivated Professional Engineer who is ready to grow into expanded leadership roles such as Technical Lead, Project Manager, or Client Services Manager while working on a strong backlog of innovative water-sector projects.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in water/wastewater engineering and is skilled in both public and private sector project delivery—with approximately 75% of work being public infrastructure and 25% involving land development.

This role involves hands-on technical work, project management responsibilities, client engagement, and support of business development initiatives. Candidates should be self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Design

  • Lead engineering design and analysis for water, wastewater, reclaimed water, stormwater, parks and recreation facilities, and corrosion control projects
  • Prepare or oversee engineering calculations, AutoCAD 3D designs, hydraulic models, assessments, reports, and permitting packages
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across all municipal, state, and federal requirements
  • Support pilot studies, field investigations, technical evaluations, and system optimization efforts

Project Management & Leadership

  • Serve as Project Manager or Technical Lead depending on project scale
  • Oversee development of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, client communication, and deliverables
  • Supervise and mentor engineers, CADD designers, and technical support staff

Client & Business Support

  • Support proposal development, presentations, and strategic client engagement
  • Participate in stakeholder coordination, community meetings, and interagency collaboration
  • Help develop best practices, decision-support tools, and innovative approaches to water system management

Fieldwork

  • Periodic travel for site evaluations, pilot studies, permitting meetings, and client visits

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience
  • Florida PE license (or ability to obtain within 4 months)
  • Strong background in water/wastewater engineering and public infrastructure
  • Experience managing or supporting public-sector projects (municipal, county, regulatory)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD 3D, GIS, hydraulic modeling, or database tools
  • Master’s degree specializing in water/wastewater, water resources, or site development
  • Project management training or experience
  • Experience supporting both public and private/land development projects
